USA Medical and Surgical Scholarship Program

USA Medical and Surgical Supplies is proud to provide a $1,000 scholarship for college and university students.  The scholarship application is open to College and University students studying medicine, therapy, emergency medical services, laboratory science, medical technology, nursing, health care, pathology, radiology, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, psychiatry, psychology, social sciences, and other health related disciplines.  The winner will receive $1,000 to help with their educational fees and expenses.

Scholarship applicants are asked to write an essay on how medical supplies or medical equipment has the biggest impact on healing, improving, or extending human lives. The topics could range from how specific equipment helps provide better diagnostics, or modern infection control allows reuse of important medical instruments, or how enteral feeding pumps provide accurate, reliable nutrition to humans of all ages. Here are a few ideas to assist anyone looking for ideas: ECG machines, aspirator pumps, Kangaroo feeding pumps, mayo stands, and MEDIHONEY. 

The essays will be ranked based on human impact, originality, relevance and writing quality. 

By entering the scholarship, applicants are giving USA Medical and Surgical Supplies permission to use their name and essay on our website and in any marketing materials.

Eligibility Requirements

• Student must be actively enrolled in a College or University studying one of the following: medicine, therapy, emergency medical services, laboratory science, medical technology, nursing, health care, pathology, radiology, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, psychiatry, psychology, social sciences, or another health related area
• All applicants must submit an official transcript or Certification of Enrollment that validates current enrollment
• Must have a valid email address

• By submitting their essay, applicants agree to the USA Medical and Surgical Scholarship Requirements and Guidelines
• Essay topic must be non-fiction and based on how medical supplies or equipment has the biggest impact on improving or extending human lives
• Recommended essay length is 1200+ words
• Supporting research and statistics need to be referenced
• Essays must be written in US English with correct spelling
• Essays will be published to usamedicalsurgical.com.  Prior to publishing, all writing will be edited and SEO optimized.  Writer credit will always be given to you, the writer.  Use this publication to provide future employers an example of your published work.
• All entries must be original.  Entries will be checked for plagiarism.  The use of any plagiarized content will result in disqualification.
